Geo Political and Climate Art in oil paint, collage, gold and silver leaf. “Symbolic Expressionism”, processing life's events and emotions. Stories in pictures and words. Bits of news articles, books, human and animal life, land and oceans interlinked. Art as an opportunity to open minds, express the unknown, grapple with different perspectives and record history.
Currently I am working on a series called “Take your Broken Heart and make Art”. How to deal with the corruption of the republican party and the inadequate response of the democratic party.
Last years work was a series called “Earthrise” after the 1968 photo from the Apollo 8 Mission. My hope always, that we will collectively work to preserve the balance on our blue-green globe.
Past paintings include themes about Greta Thunberg’s XR Movement, Stardust, the Black Madonna of Medieval Europe, local landscapes in oil and watercolors.
